Doughnuts not Donuts....

Car Clubs Supporting Arc of the Ozarks

Posted on 2017-04-26
Last year, the First Annual Doughnuts Not Donuts car show brought together over 100 cars and the Springfield community to raise over $5,000 for the Arc of the Ozarks. This year, Doughnuts Not Donuts hopes to have an even greater show, making a larger impact on the Ozarks.

Doughnuts Not Donuts is a multi-class car show, open to all makes and models. From tuners to classic American muscle, auto enthusiasts come together to help those with developmental disabilities. The show will also feature activities for the kids, such as bounce houses, face painting and possibly a dunk tank.

What's with the name?

The name for the show came from two key points. First, our clubs try to promote a positive auto culture within the Ozarks. We don't promote street racing or other forms of "hooning" such as donuts. Second, when looking for show sponsors, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts was our first choice. The play of words "Doughnuts Not Donuts" became a natural and catchy title for the show.

The show is co-hosted by the 417 German Autostil and Ozarks Z Club and will be held on June 10th at Country Girls Espresso in Springfield. Josh Lyman and Jon Nuessle have been hard at work these past few months, coordinating with Lauren Holder and Danielle Wise at The Arc.

Online registration for the show will open soon. Pre-registration is $20, and registering the day of the show is $25. If you would like to be a sponsor for the show, please contact Lauren at
